Learn how to activate your license offline

EPLAN Recommendations

• The computer on which the license is returned does not have an Internet connection.
• The second computer has an Internet connection.
• Make sure your browser and internet options are up to date.
• Make sure your firewall allows online communication.
• If you use proxy settings, have the proxy server address, port, username and password ready.
• For example.B, have a storage medium (USB stick) ready for data exchange.

Offline activation

1. Open the unzipped EPLAN folder to "...\ELM\EPLAN Rehost".
2. Start the rehost .exe.
3. Select the tab "Activate", then continue.
4. Select Step 1 "Create Aktivation Request", then continue.
5. Enter your Entitlement ID (EID).
6. Use the [Create Activation Request] button to create your required activation file.
7. Save the generated file together with the rehost .exe on e.B. a storage medium (USB stick).
8. Use a PC with an unrestricted Internet connection and start the rehost .exe from the USB stick again.
9. Select Step 2 Online Activation, in the Rehost Tool. Then move on.
10. Select your ActivationRequest.areq file provided on the USB flash drive.
11. If you use proxy server settings, press "Settings" at the bottom left and enter your proxy server address, port, username and password.
12. Press [Activate], your license will now be registered and activated online, this may take a few seconds.
13. If activated successfully, save the activated file again to your USB stick.
14. Start the EPLAN software or the license manager via the desktop icon.
15. Choose activate via the EPLAN software, single-user license or via the License Manager Online.
16. Select the file on your USB stick. The file is checked.
17. Upon successful activation, you can start EPLAN.
