Install the Licence Manager

An Eplan Licence Manager is required to run Eplan Smart Production. This provides the necessary licence.

Prerequisites

• Software and hardware requirements must be met.
• Ensure that Windows is up to date.
• The Windows account you use to log in must have local administrator rights assigned to it.
• The firewall and all necessary ports must be configured. Configure firewall

Install

1. Extract the Eplan download locally onto your PC.
2. Open the extracted folder up to ‘…\ELM\License Manager’.
3. Run ‘Setup.exe’ by right-clicking and selecting ‘Run as administrator’.
4. All clients must be equipped with the Eplan License Client 2026. Confirm the message by clicking ‘Next’.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to accept the licence terms and start the installation.
6. Once you have completed the installation by clicking ‘Finish’, the Licence Manager will open automatically.
7. Select Primary Licence Manager and click ‘OK’.
8. Select the ‘Automatic’ connection type and assign a custom port or use the default port 9363.
9. Enter your Entitlement ID and confirm your entry by clicking ‘Activate online’.
10. You will see an overview of the licence to be activated; confirm by clicking ‘Activate’.
11. Your licence will now be registered online.
12. Once activation is complete, select ‘Refresh service’.
13. The licence is now available.
