The installation of Eplan Smart Production consists of installing the server. The installation is usually carried out on a central server that is accessible via the network.
Prerequisites
- The installation file has been downloaded.
- You have local administrator rights on the target system.
Installing the software
- Run the Eplan Smart Production Setup installation file.
- Accept the licence terms.
- Tick or untick the option ‘Launch application after installation is complete’.
- Check the installation directory. By default, Eplan Smart Production is installed in the Program Files directory. The folder ‘...\Eplan\Eplan Smart Production’ is created.
- If required, specify a different installation directory.
- Click ‘Install’ to start the installation.
Once the installation is complete, a confirmation message will be displayed. The Eplan Smart Production desktop shortcut is now available.
Windows Service
In addition, the Eplan Smart Production Windows service is installed.
The service is configured with the start-up type set to ‘Automatic (Delayed Start)’. The service will start automatically after the server is restarted.
If a server restart is requested after installation, please carry this out. The restart ensures that Eplan Smart Production can operate correctly.
