Eplan Collaboration Apps: Comprehensive access, easy collaboration

Eplan means next-level solutions for electrical engineering. But this isn’t just about developing highly specialised products, it’s much more about designing and creating efficient processes. This is also the goal for our Collaboration Apps, which enable location-independent collaboration and direct access to Eplan Projects and relevant data. Depending on the expansion level chosen, the Collaboration Apps are automatically included in the scope of services for Eplan Electric P8, Eplan Pro Panel and Eplan Preplanning. 

Starting with the Eplan Platform 2026, the corresponding, previously optional extensions are now automatically included, and users will be able to use the collaboration apps to make their processes more efficient and consistent. This applies to all project phases and different industries – from basic to detailed engineering and manufacturing to commissioning and operation. Collaboration will thus become even easier and more efficient.

Data management – eManage

Data management – eManage is a cloud-based environment for collaborating on current projects and related data. This Collaboration App allows data to be shared quickly and securely with employees within your company, partners, suppliers or customers.

Parts management – eStock

Parts management – eStock is a tool for managing device data across multiple locations. With this Collaboration App, users can view and edit Eplan device data centrally in their web browser and share it with colleagues, business partners and service providers.

A revised feature also makes it possible to connect parts to the Eplan Data Portal and update them. Templates can be created and decisions made about which properties and macros should be imported. It is also possible to save and use different templates for articles simultaneously.

Projekt-Viewer – eView

The idea behind the Project viewer – eView is to digitalise review processes in engineering. This means that even project documentation for maintenance and repair is paperless and always up to date. The Project viewer allows documentation to be visualised and accessed via a browser. At the same time, notes can be added and a change process can be triggered by redlining.

Access to current data

There’s no need to set up and maintain your own IT infrastructure for data stored in the cloud. Information is updated in real time and can be accessed from any location. Data security is guaranteed by way of clearly defined access rights.

Communication and coordination made easier

The Eplan Collaboration Apps support communication and collaboration across projects, departments and companies. Selected employees and business partners can view the projects and leave comments and coordination processes are digitised and transparent.

Attractive offering

We provide users of the Eplan Cloud with a free version of the Data management, allowing you to easily and securely share Eplan Projects through this application. Additional functionality is available with the full version – for example, projects (ZW1) can also be provided in the project data backup format of earlier platform versions (“Save as function”).
