Project Viewer – eView, Parts management – eStock and Data management – eManage are all available in Eplan Preplanning, Eplan Electric P8 and Eplan Pro Panel. The existing ERP/PDM Integration Suite will be available in two levels in the future. The schematic generator Automated Project Generation – eBuild is included as standard with the Eplan Electric P8 Pro expansion level. Eplan Engineering Configuration (EEC) will continue to be available as a separate solution.

The new modules include a range of functions which cover a broad spectrum of engineering tasks. Thanks to this stable and transparent working environment, you are ready for the future. Budgets can thus be better planned. The industry packages also further improve onboarding, making users become more productive even faster. This also provides planning security and is reflected in reduced efforts.

All the Eplan Electric P8 expansion stages have one thing in common: the functionality for creating fluid power engineering schematics is now an integral part of Electric P8.

As such, we may provide you with a license for Eplan Electric P8 instead of an Eplan Fluid license moving forward. Along with the functions that you’re familiar with from Eplan Fluid, your new license will also include the functionality for creating electrical schematics.

The new Eplan Electric P8 expansion stages all build on one another and include additional functionality in each respective higher level.

For instance, the Electric P8 Pro expansion includes all of the functions found in the Basic and Advanced packages and, along with a variety of different enhancements for cross-team collaboration, also now includes the Schematic Generator (eBuild).  

In Electric P8 Premium, as an example, the functionality package also includes the option of expanding the functional scope of your Eplan solution with your own software developments with the help of our API programming environment. 

All the extensions to Eplan Pro Panel that were previously only available as options – including the automated routing of connections in 3D, the provision of data for a wide range of automation solutions in manufacturing and the design of flexible power distribution boards in 3D as examples – are now all part of the standard range of services available in Eplan Pro Panel.

Eplan Preplanning remains available as a stand-alone system or as an add-on element.

What’s new is that the functions for managing PLC controllers and bus systems are now just as much a part of the program’s overall functionality as defining user rights and the option of creating single-line schematics as part of the project documentation directly in Eplan Preplanning.
