Light + Building 2026
Light + Building is the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology. From March 8 to 13, around 2,000 national and international exhibitors and an estimated 150,000 visitors will gather in Frankfurt. Eplan and its sister company Rittal will be presenting tools and solutions for the efficient planning and operation of systems for the generation, distribution, and storage of electrical energy in buildings, as well as for building automation.
Cross-company solutions for building automation
Our digital solutions for building automation speed up system planning. The key to this is the consistent use of data in all steps: from specification to operation. We want to offer our customers solutions that simplify their workflows – and we also think across companies. We demonstrate this using the example of data exchange with solutions from SE-Elektronic, a manufacturer of automation systems: In Eplan Preplanning, data based on the AMEV-BACtwin is available for creating or optimising applications.
Siemens and Eplan – a strong partnership
During Light + Building, we will also be unveiling the ‘SIMARIS connector for Eplan’ for the first time – an interface between Siemens SIMARIS software for SIVACON and ALPHA systems and the Eplan platform. The strategic partnership between Siemens and Eplan to develop appropriate solutions for the industrial and infrastructure market segments was sealed around three years ago.
The long-term goal is to provide Eplan data for configured Siemens products across the board to offer switchgear manufacturers and electrical planners plug-and-play solutions. As a first step, basic structural elements and properties from the SIMARIS configuration have now been made available on the Eplan platform. This is necessary in order to correctly place objects in switchgear planning and to build the digital twin of the switchgear.
Rittal solutions round off the range
Rittal rounds off the range at Light + Building with solutions for efficient energy distribution for buildings and data centres, as well as energy management, simple enclosure configuration and modular energy storage solutions for indoor and outdoor applications.
Curious? Then let's talk! Meet us in Hall 11, Stand 11B80. Here we will show you how you can achieve your goals much faster with digital consistency, preconfigured systems and smart tools. ‘Automation – Do it.’
