E-world 2026
E-world energy & water is the meeting place for the European energy industry. From 10 to 12 February 2026, representatives from energy suppliers, from service and consulting as well as from industrial companies and industry institutions will once again gather in Essen.
At the event, Eplan and its sister company Rittal will present ways to accelerate the energy transition. Solutions for electrical engineering of systems in power grids, for energy storage and generation, and for charging infrastructure are already pre-designed in Eplan software. The development of digital plant twins, for example, can advance grid expansion. Rittal is picking up the pace by standardising hardware for switchgear enclosures, power distribution and air conditioning. In doing so, it takes into account the special conditions in substations, for example, by using safe and resistant materials for enclosures that protect the systems and thus ensure trouble-free operation in the long term.
Visit us and see for yourself how our solutions are driving the energy transition forward. Let's also talk about new ideas, for example:
- Workshops on data migration and training courses for the energy sector
The often extensive documentation, for example of equipment in substations, does not stand in the way of switching to Eplan; rather, we consider it the basis for a successful transition. We design special ‘data migration workshops’ for your transition. You can now learn how to get started with Eplan Engineering for the energy sector in a specially designed training course – Eplan Energy Design Essential. Let's bring the digital twin of substations to life together. - RiLineX, Rittal's platform for 60 mm busbar systems for power distribution
The click system consisting of boards and components simplifies the previously time-consuming task of setting up power distribution in panel building. An independent study by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML recently demonstrated the significant savings in assembly time: the experts confirm that RiLineX reduces it by up to 75 per cent compared to the previous solution. - Methods for the intelligent use of energy from wastewater
Using a modular demonstration sewage treatment plant with three treatment stages, Eplan shows how municipal sewage treatment plants can be planned in a consistently energy-efficient, digital and future-proof manner. From process control and sludge treatment to gas utilisation, the sewage treatment plant is designed as an integrated energy system – standardised, scalable and practical.
