The solution provider Eplan will be presenting its redesigned Eplan Platform product portfolio at the 2026 Hannover Messe this year. Users in electrical engineering will benefit from a much simpler, more powerful all-in bundle of products and services. Processes are depicted end to end and support engineers in completing their work more efficiently.
All-in engineering packages – with no hidden costs
Eplan presents its simplified product portfolio
Companies in the sectors of control cabinet engineering, special machine manufacturing or plant system engineering don’t just require tools nowadays, but integrated engineering solutions that provide end-to-end support for their workflows. The key driver behind this is simplicity, which is precisely what Eplan has consistently been delivering since the launch of the Eplan Platform 2026. The whole portfolio has been tailored to the use cases and workflows of these target groups. Customers will now receive true all-in packages with Eplan Electric P8, Pro Panel and Preplanning. Each product includes all the features and functions and, in the form of industry packages, all the necessary templates, reports, and data that users need to perfectly handle their specific tasks. It makes using the systems much easier and more transparent. Additional discussions about missing modules or extra budget rounds for additional licences have hereby become passé.
Product Change Notification
On the subject of Product Change Notification (PCN), solution provider Eplan will be presenting a use case in Hanover that was jointly developed with Phoenix Contact. Using components such as terminals and controllers, the demonstrator shows how individual components can be tracked across the entire lifecycle of a machine with unique identifiers via the asset administration shell. Another practical benefit is that this also allows any changes to the equipment to be seamlessly communicated to the engineers and operators. If a manufacturer changes a component, the electrical engineer automatically receives a product change notification via the Eplan Cloud, along with information on which projects this component is installed. This change management takes data consistency for users to the next level, further improving collaboration within the ecosystem – from component manufacturers to end users. It results in speedy, targeted reactions to changes, more transparency in engineering, and shorter throughput times.
Using a repeater with a unique asset ID as an example, users can view the product change notification from Phoenix Contact for the component.
Eplan Smart Sourcing
The concept of intelligent sourcing will also be presented at the Hannover Messe. The new Eplan Smart Sourcing, which is planned to be launched in May, is a solution for automated, data-based component procurement. It enables control cabinet manufacturers and system integrators to optimise their planning. This is because the tool makes it clear right from the start of the design phase where and how quickly the required parts can be procured.
In conclusion
The simplification of the Eplan Portfolio benefits users with greater clarity, simplicity, future-proofing and sophisticated technology that makes using it for engineering even easier. Hannover Messe attendees will experience how they can strengthen their entire value chain and make it more resilient with a smart, integrated, end-to-end ecosystem – from engineering to manufacturing to operations.
